Located in Painswick, the “Queen of the Cotswolds”, Cardynham House is a 15th-16th Century Grade 2* listed house originally belonging to a wool merchant. There is wealth of character to be found in every room, each decorated in a style of its own. Each bedroom features not only a unique style but also a four poster or half tester bed and every room has an en suite bathroom with bath, shower or both. Choose from “Medieval Garden”, “Palm Beach“, Old Tuscany”, “The Highlands”, “Dovecote”, “New England”, “Cottage Rose”, “Arabian Nights” and the “Pool Room”.

All rooms at Cardynham House are spacious and have tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities, television, hair dryers and direct dial telephones. Cots for babies are available if required. We can arrange for flowers, champagne and other gifts to be in the room prior to your arrival as a surprise. Some rooms can be made up with a “Z” bed if needed for an extra guest and two rooms have a double and a single bed whilst Dovecote has a double and two single beds for families.

The House itself has a residents lounge with open fireplace and adjacent to this a conservatory with comfortable chairs overlooking a small internal courtyard. Throughout the house are objects of interest, books, magazines and art works.Breakfasts at Cardynham House are a special occasion and include a traditional individually prepared English breakfast, American pancakes and porridge.
